Why We Ask Why.

Do me a favor.

Fill me in on why, when things seem to go awry, that we ask ourselves the one-worded question of "why?"

Chances are, it's a question rooted in something bad - of something that we either wanted, needed, or just plain liked, that didn't turn out the way that we thought it would.

There's also the chance that it could be something that we really don't understand. Something so out there that an explanation just isn't going to appear.

Then there's just confusion. Things seeming not to make sense, even though you've gone over it time and time again in your head and in your heart.

We know that when we ask ourselves "why?" that the probability of getting the answer that we want (or in some cases, deserves) is slim to absolutely none. Fair? No, it's not fair, but it's a factor in life that we all need to realize is never going to change - no matter how many prayers we say or questions we ask. There comes a time when asking "why?" just doesn't cut it anymore.
